Technical Challenge
The primary challenge was the aging server infrastructure: 12 physical servers running Windows Server 2008 R2, with an average uptime of only 98.5% due to hardware failures. The company also faced power outages lasting 2-4 hours monthly, causing unscheduled shutdowns.
Additionally, the existing storage area network (SAN) had only 10 TB usable capacity, 85% full, and lacked flash storage for high-performance workloads. Network bandwidth between servers and storage was limited to 1 Gbps, causing latency issues during peak production hours. The IT team needed to migrate to a modern platform without disrupting operations.

Implemented Solution
Intilogy deployed a converged infrastructure solution using HP ProLiant DL380 Gen10 servers with Intel Xeon Gold processors, 256 GB RAM each, and 10 GbE networking. The solution included a Dell PowerVault ME4024 storage array with 24 TB all-flash capacity for low-latency databases. Virtualization was implemented with VMware vSphere 7, enabling high availability and live migration. For backup and disaster recovery, Veeam Backup & Replication was configured to replicate VMs to a secondary site 10 km away, with an RPO of 1 hour. Network redundancy was achieved with Cisco Catalyst switches in a stacked configuration. The deployment also included server and storage integration with existing UPS systems to handle power fluctuations.

Post-deployment, server uptime improved to 99.99%, with zero unplanned downtime in the first six months. Backup failures were eliminated, and RTO reduced from 12 hours to 30 minutes, while RPO improved from 24 hours to 1 hour.
