Technical Challenge

Implemented Solution
Intilogy designed and deployed a comprehensive industrial printer label rollout using Zebra ZT610 industrial printers and ZebraDesigner Pro software for label templates. The solution integrated with the existing SAP ECC system via middleware from Loftware, enabling centralized label management and real-time print jobs. We installed 25 printers across three production lines and two warehouses, each connected to a dedicated network with VLAN segmentation to ensure print job priority. For high-volume zones, we deployed print-and-apply systems from SATO, capable of 150 labels per minute. The rollout also included HP thin clients at each station for reliable operation, and a backup and disaster recovery plan using Synology NAS to store label templates and print logs. Training sessions were conducted for 120 operators and IT staff.

Post-rollout, the label misread rate dropped to 0.2%, saving 14 hours per week in rework. Print speed increased to 6,000 labels per hour, eliminating bottlenecks. Printer MTBF improved to 18 months due to robust thermal printheads and proper maintenance protocols.
