01
Client Profile & Background
A leading automotive parts manufacturer in Bekasi, West Java, operates a 24/7 production facility with over 2,000 employees. The company relies on a complex IT environment supporting ERP systems, supply chain management, and real-time monitoring of assembly lines. Their infrastructure includes on-premises servers, SAN storage, and a mix of wired and wireless networks. With plans to expand into electric vehicle components, the IT team recognized the need to modernize their aging infrastructure to support Industry 4.0 initiatives, including IoT sensors and predictive analytics.
02
Technical Challenge
The manufacturer faced multiple critical issues. First, their backup system frequently failed, with a 12-hour backup window causing data loss risks and recovery times exceeding 48 hours. Second, network congestion during peak production hours led to latency spikes of up to 500ms, disrupting communication between PLCs and the MES. Third, their storage array was operating at 85% capacity, with performance degradation impacting database transactions. A recent audit revealed that 40% of their servers were past end-of-life, lacking vendor support and security patches. These challenges collectively threatened production targets and compliance with ISO 27001 standards.

Implemented Solution
Intilogy conducted a comprehensive infrastructure assessment using tools like Cisco DNA Center for network analysis and Veeam ONE for backup environment evaluation. The assessment identified key bottlenecks and led to a phased modernization plan. We replaced legacy servers with Dell PowerEdge servers running VMware vSphere for virtualization. Storage was upgraded to a Synology FlashStation for high-performance SSD caching, reducing latency by 70%. For backup, we implemented Veeam Backup & Replication with a local Synology NAS and offsite replication to a hybrid cloud target. Network upgrades included Cisco Catalyst switches and Fortinet FortiGate firewalls for segmentation and threat prevention. The entire solution was designed for high availability and scalability.

Results & ROI
Post-implementation, the manufacturer achieved a 99.99% backup success rate with RPO reduced from 24 hours to 1 hour and RTO from 48 hours to 4 hours. Network latency dropped to under 10ms, improving MES response times by 90%. Storage performance increased by 300%, supporting faster database queries. The IT team now manages the environment through a single pane of glass using VMware vCenter and Veeam console. Total cost of ownership decreased by 25% due to reduced energy consumption and maintenance. Additionally, the company achieved ISO 27001 certification within six months. The infrastructure assessment and subsequent modernization enabled a 15% increase in production output by eliminating downtime.
